Why Musicians Autographs
are So Much in Demand
Music Paraphernaila and
Signatures of Recording Artists - Items in
Demand
Music fans are everywhere. Here
is just one story. I have always enjoyed collecting
musicians autographs. I like getting celebrity autographs in
general, but I have a special place in my heart for music. I
have been listening to rock 'n roll since I was a very young
kid pretty much everyone has but for me it was
quite an obsession.
As a child I would learn everything I
could about music, and even collect music memorabilia when I
could find it. I would get old 45s at local garage sales,
and I even had a few wax records from way back in a bygone
era.
Teenagers and College Students are
Fans Too!
My obsession did not stop once I got
to college either. People thought I was weird because I
would get musicians autographs from local bands. I was just
obsessed with getting a piece of the action. I needed
something to remember a good show by. Even if I didn't
particularly like the band, I often would try to get the
musicians autographs as a sort of souvenir. I guess it was a
way of taking the night with me in a certain
sense.
The Music Autograph
Collection
Since then, my musician autograph
collection has grown. I have some of the greats of rock 'n
roll. Not only do I have a lot of local figures, but I also
have Iggy Pop, Keith Richard, and even an autograph from
Dave Mustaine. I also have a great collection of music
action figures. I
Music History
I have a lot of kids action figures
that were put out when I was a kid, as well as the comic
book that Alice Cooper did with Neil Gaiman. And of course,
my Jazz EP collection has grown too. I loved vintage jazz
albums more than anything else in the world. I even liked
the wear and tear on the records the scratchy sounds
and the muffled bits. Everything about it speaks to me about
the roots of American music.
How to Get Musicians
Autographs
A lot of people ask me about getting
musicians autographs. They ask how you approach the subject.
How do you go to a local musician someone who hasn't
made it big yet, but who you admire and get their
autograph?
My approach is always to keep it
simple. Just go up and ask! Most musicians will be nice, and
if they aren't, you still haven't lost anything. Any
recording artist who is going to look down at you for
showing that you are a fan of their music is probably not
worth your time anyway! Now, get that signature.
