their voices warmed up. They jump right into a song and

methodical.
Video Tips for Warming Up Singing
Voice
1. Pay Attention to Your
Body
Loosen up by walking or jogging before
warming up the voice. Then start humming low notes to feel
if the voice is ready for warming up. If it's ready, try
putting your hum to music. Put no effort towards singing,
but instead use a relaxed voice to warm up. Tightening up
the voice is not a proper warm up.
2. Timing - Don't Overdo
It
Do two to three minutes of voice
exercises and then rest for 10 minutes before returning to
warm ups. Give yourself plenty of time to warm up before
singing so you can do it naturally.
Morning time is the worst time to sing
because the throat tends to be dry and scratchy with the
sinuses clogged. If you're planning to sing for an audience
during morning hours, then get up at least two hours
beforehand to get your voice ready. Drink warm liquids, such
as warm tea. Sip it slowly to increase circulation. Drink
lukewarm water, not ice water.
4. Don't Push
Get your voice to agree with you but
don't push it or strain it. Try exercises that are easy to
help you edge into a pleasant singing voice. Don't go for
high notes in the morning... warm up with deeper or lower
notes to avoid pressure on your vocal cords.
